Santa Lucia Festival Christmas Village Celebration 12/5/2009

Young ladies in white gowns with red sashes and crowns of candles herald in the Christmas Season and its Swedish traditions, as part of the Santa Lucia Celebration. The all day celebration includes Swedish pancake breakfasts at local restaurants, an arts and crafts festival along Draper street with specialty home baked goods, a gingerbread house contest, and concludes with the Festival of Light Parade followed by a reading of the Lucia story and singing of the Lucia song in Swedish.
